| 1. If I register a domain name with you, do I own it? |
Yes, If you register a domain with Site-Host, you are listed as the domain registrant. You will be liable for all billings, renewals, actions and information pertaining to such domain.
Site-Host only acts as middle person between you and the Actual Registrar.
The registrant (you) are required to pay Site-Host for such registration. Site-Host in turns pays the registrar for the domain registration of your domain. After Site-Host pays such
fees, if there is any delinquency on your payment to Site-Host, the domain name will become the property of Site-Host. Site-Host may choose to sell the domain to a 3rd party or back to
you the original registrant at an inflated price, at their sole descretion.
| 2. What is the "Domain Naming Convention"? |
When registering a domain name with Site-Host certain naming conventions must be followed:
- Domain names must end in .com, .org, or .net. No other extensions are allowed.
- Domain names are alpha-numeric and may use a - (dash). The dash cannot be at the
beginning or end of a domain name.
- Domain names may be up to 67 characters total(including the suffix or extension).
Failure to follow the above naming convention guidelines will result in failure of domain name registration. If setting up the domain as part of a hosting package, faulure to
register the domain will require you to submit registration manually, thus not qualifying you for the Hosting combination discount.
